Miriam Hunfeld’s Curriculum Vitae
Miriam Hunfeld holds a degree in business administration as well as an MBA. She launched her career in 1991 with KUONI Travel in Vienna. After working for four years in the field of inbound tourism in Austria and Eastern Europe, she returned to her home country of El Salvador, there founding the Product Development Department of the Grupo TACA airlines. She was responsible for package tours as well as handling negotiations for hotel room allotments in the USA, Latin America and the Caribbean.
After another four years she was awarded a scholarship to study for an MBA in Germany. During this time Miriam completed two internships: one at Unilever in Hamburg, where she assisted the Product Manager in developing the CD and POND’s brands, and the other at Lufthansa in Frankfurt, where she joined the Yield Management Department.
Miriam is a founding member and past president of the BPW Club in Dresden, an international association that facilitates the networking of professional women. She is a member of the Latin American Society in Hamburg, which is a German association of companies aimed at fostering business contacts between Latin America and Germany. Miriam also does much volunteer work in support of women, children and young people, particularly those with an immigration background.
From 1989 Miriam was a member of Rotaract, and subsequently joined a Rotary Club in Dresden. This gives her the opportunity to get involved in community service projects, and also to encourage others to take part. At the same time she appreciates the chance to make new friendships through Rotary as well as to get to know other cultures and fields of business.
Miriam enjoys supporting her clients from diverse cultures and nations in finding the perfect location for their events.
She is convinced that having her own company gives her the perfect opportunity to work successfully around the world with partners old and new, and at the same time to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Miriam loves to act in plays, she enjoys travelling, dancing and, of course, immersing herself in other cultures. She speaks fluent Spanish, English and German and has a working knowledge of Italian and French.
Miriam and her family have lived in Germany since 1997. She is continually seeking ways to expand her professional and private horizons.
